Veronika Jedličková: Thanks to OKbase, I look forward to going to work.

OKbase has been part of her professional journey for over ten years. Today, Veronika Jedličková uses it to simplify HR administration at Direct Insurance. In this interview, she explains why OKbase is more than just a system to her.

Veronika, could you start by introducing yourself?

My name is Veronika Jedličková, and I work as a People and Culture Operation Expert at Direct Insurance. I’ve been using OKbase for more than ten years now, and it’s truly something close to my heart in my professional life.

How did you first come across OKbase?

I first encountered OKbase at my employer about ten years ago. At that time, we weren’t very digital — we didn’t have electronic signatures, digital documents, or even upload employment-related files into OKbase. But it was my first experience with the system, and even then, I sensed it had huge potential as an HR platform.

When I moved to my next company, they were also using OKbase. That was a pleasant surprise because I already knew what the system could do. There, we had more flexibility to make changes, the system had more features, and I could see how it was evolving.

Then came a point when I needed a change. I started looking for a new job and chose Direct — not only because of its great environment and people but also because, once again, they used OKbase. Direct is very disciplined and forward-thinking when it comes to digitalization. Most importantly, they wanted to use OKbase on a completely different level. For me, that was a huge challenge — to take “my” beloved OKbase even further. And so far, I’ve been succeeding — which makes me incredibly happy.

What was your job interview at Direct like?

It was a three-round interview process during which I got to speak with almost every member of the team. We wanted to get to know each other and see if there was good chemistry — and it clicked right from the start! I actually talked a lot about OKbase during the interview. My current colleague and I exchanged all kinds of experiences — what works well, what’s missing, and what we’d like to improve. The following rounds were a natural continuation of that first meeting, and everything just flowed. It was mutual — I chose Direct because I really liked the people, and they chose me partly because of how passionate I am about OKbase.

How would you describe your everyday work with OKbase?

OKbase si já osobně nemůžu vynachválit. Zbožňuji vás i váš tým – konzultanty, obchodníky. Vždycky mi všichni vyšli maximálně vstříc, nikdy mě nikdo neodbyl. Líbí se mi, jak je systém uživatelsky přívětivý a taky to, že si spousty věcí můžu navrhnout podle sebe. I když si občas vymýšlím opravdu hodně, vždy jsme společně našli potřebné řešení. Toho si hrozně vážím, protože mi to hodně usnadňujete práci, což je v dnešní době a v našem oboru strašně důležité. Takže za mě jste skvělí! Všude vás chválím a moc ráda vás doporučuji.

I honestly can’t praise OKbase enough. I absolutely love you and your team — the consultants, the salespeople, everyone. You’ve always been incredibly helpful, and no one has ever brushed me off. I really appreciate how user-friendly the system is and how much flexibility it offers — I can design and adjust so many things myself. Even when my requests are quite ambitious, we’ve always managed to find the right solution together. I value that immensely because you make my work so much easier — and that’s something truly important in our field today. So, from my perspective, you’re amazing! I recommend you everywhere and with real enthusiasm.

Do you also use our new ticketing system, C-desk?

Yes, of course. I really like how clear and well-organized it is. At a glance, I can see the current status of each ticket — whether it’s being worked on, paused, waiting for my response, or if I’m waiting for a reply from the hotline or a senior consultant. My tickets usually aren’t the typical ones like “I can’t log in” or “a button is missing,” but even so, they’re processed quite quickly. So from my perspective, it’s great! Honestly, I don’t have a single negative thing to say about you.

Have you seen any real progress over the years?

Absolutely — a huge one. When I compare it to my first employer, it was a completely different story back then. At my second company, we started fine-tuning some things, but it wasn’t until I joined Direct that I truly realized how seamlessly OKbase can become an integral part of HR life. At Direct, we aim to simplify everything as much as possible, and we’ve set up OKbase in a way that genuinely makes our work easier. Sure, sometimes things don’t happen as quickly as we’d like, but even so, we’re operating on an incredibly high level. And I’m really grateful for that — it makes me genuinely look forward to going to work.

Your job involves a lot of communication. Do you share your OKbase experience with your colleagues?

Yes, absolutely — and I really enjoy it. Even during my job interview, I talked a lot about what OKbase can do and what I’d still like it to be able to do. And I’ve kept that up ever since. I always tell my colleagues that OKbase is user-friendly, and if they’re ever unsure about something, they can come to me — and together, we’ll figure it out every time.

You’re a regular attendee of OKbase Day. What does this event mean to you?

This year was my fifth OKbase Day. I really enjoy how you make an effort to connect with us, listen to our feedback, and actually respond to it. I also love the host, Jirka Charvát — his unapologetic sense of humor is right up my alley, so please keep him! And of course, the refreshments are always great. I always look forward to OKbase Day because by now, I know a lot of your team personally. I greet some of you, I’m on a first-name basis with others, and I even hug a few of you. So honestly, I feel at home here. For me, it’s a perfect way to step out of my daily work mode and pick up new insights at the same time.

Do you think OKbase works well when it comes to user feedback?

Definitely. I think more and more people know about OKbase now — and it shows, because you’re already reaching your capacity limits! I share feedback regularly — not negative, but more developmental suggestions, things I truly need, since I work with OKbase every day: contractors, attendance, absences, folders, payroll… I’ve always received a response really quickly. Your customer support is genuinely excellent. Overall, I can see real progress, and I’m glad that OKsystem listens to its users and keeps improving. It really shows — and that’s fantastic!
